Your Right to Erasure

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by SpotLift. This page explains what data we hold and how to request its deletion.

What Data We Hold

When you use SpotLift, we store the following data associated with your account:

  • Your email address and account credentials (hashed password)
  • Your business profile (name, type, area, city, phone, website)
  • Content generated through SpotLift's tools (posts, review replies, descriptions, etc.)
  • Usage logs (how many times you've used each tool)
  • Billing history (payment confirmations from Razorpay)
  • Audit data if you used the free audit before signing up

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, send an email to:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Please include the email address associated with your SpotLift account so we can verify your identity before processing the request.

What Happens After You Request

  • We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours.
  • We will verify your identity by confirming the email address matches our records.
  • Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of verification.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Data We May Retain

Even after an account deletion request, we may retain certain data where required by law or legitimate business necessity:

  • Billing records — transaction IDs and payment amounts, retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.
  • Anonymised analytics — aggregate usage data with no personal identifiers.

Razorpay independently retains payment processing data under their own privacy policy and RBI compliance obligations. SpotLift cannot delete data held directly by Razorpay.

Effect on Active Subscriptions

Submitting a data deletion request will result in the cancellation of any active subscription. Please refer to our Refund Policy for information on whether a refund applies based on your plan type and usage.
